Peter Comes to Live With Us
In 1968 the church was promoting a way for Indian children to get a better education and one boy, Peter, came to live with us. He was eight years old and he would room with Johnny in his room.

For Thanksgiving that year we went to Big Bear and also visited Santa's Village. Richard's brother Martin's family also went with us. It was a very fun time.
We cooked a full turkey Thanksgiving dinner, went horseback riding, and played games.
